I'm an extremely fair-skinned girl and I've had a couple moles removed that looked like cancer. If that's not enough to convince me to be careful, my cousin actually had melanoma on his face and now has a sizable scar running down his jaw as a result. But I have a confession, I HATE putting on sunscreen. **GASP** Yes. I will admit to despising SPF in a beauty world obsessed with staying young, healthy, and UVA/UVB protected. I'm not sure if it's because all my friends are naturally easy tanners and walk around all summer SPF-less with a golden glow while I tag along either burnt a pretty pink/red or unchanged ghostly white. Or it could be the extra work all that SPF requires, and the goopy sticky feeling I always get from it. And if I use SPF I also have to use sunless tanner to get a subtle glow, otherwise I might blind everyone when I leave my apartment in shorts. Unfortunately most sunless tanner that I've tried (read: affordable/cheap) leave my paper white legs streaky, orange, or too dark. But that's a rant for a different day. There is good news though, I am still trying. So for now I'm going to graciously accept my white-ness. Also for the sake of this blog I'm going to spend my summer looking for the best way to get SPF on my face and body. To start things off I'm trying Oil of Olay's facial moisturizer with SPF 15, Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Enhancer Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20, and Aveeno Hydrosport Sunblock spray SPF 50+.
